Where are you located?

 

We are in the Galleria area of Houston, TX between Westheimer and San Felipe at 1801 Post Oak Blvd. We’re directly across the street from Hermes and RDG | Bar Annie, and share a parking lot with Mo’s Steakhouse.

What are your store hours?

We are open Monday – Saturday, 10am – 5pm; closed Sunday. Subscribe to our email list or check our Facebook page for updates on our holiday schedules.

Do you do repairs?

Yes! We have a jeweler on staff that can handle most repairs on-site. If we are unable to repair your item at our Houston location, we have relationships with esteemed workshops all over the world and will ensure your piece is in the most capable hands. Every piece that comes through Tenenbaum & Co. is repaired with care to its original state.

Do you do appraisals?

Unfortunately we do not do insurance appraisals on outside items at this time. However, if you purchase an item from us, we are happy to provide an appraisal on that piece. If you are interested in selling your jewelry, please contact us (link) to make an appointment.

How do I sell or trade-in my jewelry?

The process to sell or trade your jewelry is simple. One of our buyers will evaluate your jewelry, and based on the market conditions at the time, we will make you an offer for both cash and store credit. While we are happy to pay cash, we recommend trading in your jewelry for store credit. This value tends to be 25-30% higher, and any store credit is applied before taxes. Do I need to make and appointment to sell or trade-in my jewelry?

If you plan to sell or trade-in your jewelry, we highly recommend you make an appointment. We do accept walk-ins, but we cannot guarantee that a buyer will be available to evaluate your jewelry without an appointment. Please contact us to schedule a convenient time. [See More: Trade & Sell]

Why should I buy estate jewelry?

Estate jewelry is another way of saying pre-owned. All of our jewelry is part of the secondary market and as such, it is not sold at retail prices. Jewelry that is part of a designer’s current collection can often be found at Tenenbaum & Co. for as much as 50% off the retail price. We also pride ourselves on our unique selection. Many of our pieces are one-of-a-kind, and could not be found anywhere else. Chances are you won’t see someone else wearing the same amazing Art Deco or Edwardian ring you purchased from Tenenbaum & Co.

Is any of your jewelry new?

Yes! We do have select items in our store that are brand new. We carry Deakin & Francis mens’ cufflinks and jewelry. We also launched Tenenbaum Colore in 2014, a new gemstone and diamond jewelry line designed and carried exclusively at Tenenbaum & Co.

Where does your jewelry come from?

We are an estate jeweler, which means the vast majority of our jewelry is pre-owned. Estate doesn’t necessarily mean it is old, as we carry jewelry from antique to modern. We purchase from the public, at industry shows across the U.S. and from a variety of sources all over the world.

Do you design custom jewelry?

While custom design is not our specialty, we have certainly worked with clients in the past to bring their vision to life and are happy and able to help you create the one-of-a-kind piece that is perfect for you.

Do you offer a guarantee or warranty on jewelry?

All of our jewelry is sold in “as is” condition, but you can be confident that every piece that comes through Tenenbaum & Co. is cleaned and restored with care as close as possible to its original state. On our website, we strive to describe each item to the best of our ability. If we state a piece is signed by a specific designer, or from a specific time period, we have taken every precaution to ensure that it is the case. We do not offer any formal guarantee or warranty on our jewelry, but we stand behind its quality.

Do you offer a guarantee or warranty on watches?

Every watch in our showroom is fully serviced before being displayed, but if there are any mechanical issues within one year of the purchase date, we will cover the expenses necessary to get it back to working condition.

Do you offer layaway or financing?

Currently, we do not offer any financing plans. However, we are happy to create layaway terms that are agreeable and easy for our clients. Please contact us if you’d like specific information regarding layaway.

What are your shipping policies?

Any items from Tenenbaum & Co. are shipped overnight and are covered under our insurance policy. Costs will depend on the destination, value of the package, and the carrier chosen. Please contact us if you need specific shipping information.

I don't live in Houston. Can you help me?

Absolutely. We work with clients all over the world and we are happy to ship our product anywhere. If you live outside the state of Texas, you are tax exempt from any purchases at Tenenbaum & Co.

Do I have to pay sales tax?

If you live within the state of Texas, our tax rate is 8.25%. If you live outside of the state and would like us to ship jewelry to you, you will not be charged any sales tax.
